Hi, I'm Giovanna

I'm a UX/UI/Product Designer with a BFA degree in Communication Design. My experience and skills in graphic design (typography, color theory, hierarchy, etc.), plus video editing and motion design, are transferable to Product Design. Target audience, competitive analysis, and user interviews are examples of research I conduct as part of both product and communication design processes.

Over the past year or so, I've been following the "Google's UX Design Professional Certificate" program, while supplementing my studies on understanding user behavior and designing user-centered products with articles on user research, wireframing, prototyping, and more, from the Nielsen Norman Group and other resources.

During this process, I redesigned the project I had previously completed during the "Intro to UX/UI Design" class I took in college. I built websites for clients on cloud-based website builder platforms like Squarespace and Wix, applying UX/UI principles. Currently, I'm working on a project aimed at redesigning the Tension Board App (a rock climbing-related app).

I'm an organizer and planner, so much so that my friends jokingly call me the project manager. I believe in asking questions and for help, and I'm a quick learner.

Fun Facts
I grew up in Italy and moved to NYC in 2014. I rock climb for fun and have a girl cat named Hazel.
